Family Encounters Green Fireball on Highway Dec. 17, 1998
On December 17,1998 my husband and
son were coming home from South Carolina travling to North Carolina on
Interstate 95 at exactly 8:30pm between the mile marker 44-45 heading north.
We saw at first what we thought was a shooting star but this was greenball
with a tail of light travling behind it. My husband thought it was fire
works but we saw nothing traveling upward. It was truly amazing I'm sure
the other cars on the highway saw it too. My husband had heard about all
the sightings of theses green fire balls but he never thought he would
ever see one. He was thrilled,and my son was too. I personally think it
was just a treasure to be able to finally see one.
