Little Blackfoot River – Below Avon

March 14, 2010                                                                                        back to Fishing Journal

Another Sunday evening and another trip over the Continental Divide meant another great start for the work week.

Water

The little river was pretty low, but a bit of run off made it a bit murky.  No fish action was seen.

Fishing

The fishing was slightly better than the previous Sunday.  This nice rainbow hit a small olive streamer with webby palmering and a bead head.  Nymphs, emergers, and even a dry fly or two didn’t raise anything.  This guy is looking forward to more food in the stream as it warms up.
