Brady, Montana was established in 1909. There are three stories as of how Brady got it's name. One is that the name came from a doctor who came to Great Falls to treat the sick. Another story is that it was named after Thomas E. Brady, an attorney from Great Falls. The last story is that Brady was named for a cattleman from Texas who ran cattle to Brady and loaded them on the train. But in 1945 part of Brady took a turn for the worst and caught on fire. Most of the main street businesses were destroyed.

Now, Brady isn't as big as it used to be. There is a grain elevator, post office, bar, Co-Op, and a public school that holds grades K-12.
